To me this is a perfect example of how you can mix an album to death - an overall loudness that keeps piercing the eardrums unpleasantly, totally out of tune with the thoughtful, solemn nature of the music itself, and then: Tons and tons of reverb on the voice - how can anyone recognize the actual vocal performance here?
Besides the question if you need the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. version of some of these songs, these weaknesses in sound make this CD quite hard to listen to.

As with his former Death In June mate (Douglas Pearce), Patrick Leagas is quite fond of doing one of the following... 1. repackaging old recordings in best of compilations, and 2. re-recording old songs for new release. Frankly, this has begun to leave me cold. As most of these re-recordings serve no purpose (at best), and pale by comparison to the originals (at worse). That brings us to "'LikeStukas Angels" 2009's slice of nostalgia by 6 Comm (formerly Sixth Comm). Most of the music here with-in has seen numerous lights of day. Which makes the press release statement "will never be re-issued again in their original format" leave me wondering which version? which format?
Never-the-less... if you're tired of new versions of old Death In June and Sixth Comm songs, there are a couple of gems in here. Particularly "Sow the Wind" and "Shake the Fear", which were rare recordings to begin with, which for me left the songs fresh and new. Both sound a bit vocally like DavidSylvain in his "Gone To Earth" era, and that's not a bad thing. Leagas vocals have improved exponentially with age. and both "Sow.." and "Shake.." show this off masterfully. The best part of these two tracks is how nicely they progress from the sounds of 6 Comm's 2006 release "Headless", which it's self was a pleasant surprise of new recordings. All in all, my recommendation is wait for these tracks to show up on a repackaged best of compilation.
