Excellent evolution of sound.

For many years now, Androcell has been a favorite of mine. The depth of creativity is unlike any other music I have ever heard, and this EP is no exception. The first track - aptly named Grumpy Robot - is exactly what it sounds like. Robotic, a little dark, and layer upon layer of instrumentation laid as close to the nearest bit or byte as possible. This song is very complex and has a lot going on. While it is not my favorite, I appreciate the architecture and the style, and I think it's one of his more technical pieces.

Track #2 is a lot more melodic and upbeat. It contains polyrhythmic layers like you would not believe. Particularly around 3:55 when the song starts to elevate and pick up its pace a little bit. I like this one a lot.

Track #3 is one of the best Androcell has ever written. My goodness. Every moment of this song is forged into perfection, and I don't think there's even a whole second I don't like. Nothing about that song is off. Words do not adequately describe the sheer brilliance of Times Keeps Slipping. Do yourself a favor and listen to that song, then buy the rest of the EP :)
