Automatic Tasty - The Rites Of Wrong FLAC

The cassette on which most of the tracks here were initially released (http://www.discogs.com/Automatic-Tasty-Speech-And-Silence/release/3622238), came as a total surprise to me, when knowing that I just stumbled across it when buying records online and never heard of the artist before. I thought it was a good idea to buy it, since my old Volkswagen only had a cassette deck player and I was running out of old cassettes I made myself when I was a kid. It became my soundtrack for about six months, accompanying me wherever the road led me to. It’s not hard to believe that I was overwhelmed with a feeling of nostalgia when I heard the Rites of Wrong EP for the first time.

But, my personal sentiment set aside, let’s get down to the record itself: This is hands down one of the most melancholic and honest EP’s of the year. The music is sublime and unlike anything else out there at the moment. Perfect machine music for sunsets that revamped my whole love for 90’s electronics and glitchy electro, stuff like the old E.R.P. EP’s. But still, Automatic Tasty’s music has such a distinct sound, making it hard to compare it with anything else. And this EP nails it completely! Instant classic, please get it before it’s too late!
