This 1978 album is the last produced by Arif Marden and shows the Average White Band at the peak of their abilities. Their Song writing is stronger than ever, the Lead Vocals sound sweeter thanbefore and the hard Funk has mainly changed to a more mellow groove, which makes this album so enjoyable from todays standard. This music doesn't sound dated at all. Sophisticated, slick and smooth with rich arrangements and on point musicianship. There are only highlights on Warmer Communication, so that it is hard to pick favorites.The first song "Your Love Is A Miracle" is arguably the hardest and most funky on here - definitely sharp and on point. The Title Trarck is wonderful too : Warmer Communication is a slick and hot Jam simmering under the smooth surface. The on-point Horns on "Same Feeling, Different Song" are top notch as well. I could go on and on and praise each song !The good old times, when an album had 35-45 minutes playing time produced way less filler material than the CD era with the 20 Trax / 78 minute playing time monsters of today.
