This is an interesting album, it is easy to confuse it with the soundtrack to the Benny Goodman Story, when in fact, it is original BG recordings from the 1935 thru 1939 period. Really good music and you cannot go wrong with any BG of this era, it truly was a swing powerhouse. I can only conjecture it was an attempt to capture sales of older material when the biographical movie was released. Sound is clean and clear, thankfully free of the hamfisted attempt to turn mono into stereo. Highly recommended for swing newbies as well as those old hand swing fans.
