Betonkust & Palmbomen II - Center Parcs LP FLAC

Unfortunately I found this album pretty damn boring. While the idea of producing an electronica album in a Center Parc and try to reflect the aesthetics of this strange kind of holiday relaxation with vintage synths, might be pretty good (while also quite obvious), the album never produced any charm for me. The retro vibe seems to be quite calculated and does not possess any value of its own (like e.g. the film music for the "Stranger Things"-Series which is retro and distinct at the same time). The music is neither very emotional (like an ambient album would have been), nor danceable (even though there are beats in almost all tracks, but all retro Casio midtempo standard beats), nor very experimental (like - for example - VARG's "Nordic Flora series" using human voices, ambient and retro electronica to build something like a unique and coherent listener's experience). It bored the hell out of me, on every track I hoped it would end soon, but it still ran three minutes or so... please don't do another album...
