Catherine Wheel's first 2 albums are some of my most favorite albums of all time. There are some similar qualities on Happy Days, their 3rd release, but it's mostly a new direction and not one I was particularly fond of. I like Heal, Empty Head, Receive, and Eat My Dust You Insensitive Fuck.However, too many tracks come across to me as (hard) rock cliches or just corny. (Waydown, Little Muscle, Fizzy Love) I was always a bit disappointed that they kept playing Little Muscle in their live sets while shelving much better tracks from Ferment and Chrome.Not sure if they were making a go of the American market but other albums released around the same time were just better. Perhaps if Catherine Wheel had better label success/support, and perhaps chose a less confusing name, then their path might've been different.

First two albums are heavenly. It’s all downhill after that sadly.
