Charles Schillings and Pompon F. team up, and IT'S ABOUT... time? Sure, because who doesn't love some nice slabs of house? They start low and funky with "Police Funk" (a tempo that will recur on "Starshine") but the funk gets a disco house beat with "It's About Time (Wake Up People)." Some Latin flavor comes onto "Tengo Nada," while a mellow hip-hop takes over "Pompon In Da Place." A rock guitar sample pops its strings into "Don't Rock It" but the deepness rules the day on "Jungle Fever," while a bongo rhythm perks up "Two Together." But, really, just fast forward to "No Communication, No Love (Devastating)," the standout track. Emotive and deep, it's the highlight of the album and a great house track, period.
