I think this is Jack Wax's best track he's done IMO - it's like a homage of all different bits of oldskool trance and acid

it's the breakdown and the acid buildup which is excellent - Thoughtful emotional acid music.

Not too keen on the Moss and Liberator track sounds too similar to most of their other stuff but still good .

More tracks like Road to Praha - Acid remix - thanks

I'll begin with the label master's track. The Acid Remix of "Road to Praha" is a delightful journey of acid trance. Indeed, it reminds me of old-school Platipus releases, like Union Jack, Art of Trance, and Quietman. "Road to Praha" has a smooth, ethereal quality, just like so many old Platipus tracks. And obviously it features a pleasing dose of acid work (just like old Platipus), which always makes a track a winner in my book. My only remark concerns the background pads; in most places, they're delightful and uplifting, but in a few spots, they take on a dissonant character, and I'm not sure that helps the track much. Still, that's a minor comment, and the track is great.

Of course, I'm personally inclined to spin it much faster than default. But that's just because I like techno and trance with pace!

"Progress" is another bouncing monster from Chris and Sterling, this time with Patrick DSP up in the mix. The percussion scheme exudes that Liberator & Moss sound, and the acid lines get increasingly sharp and delicious as the track moves along. Plus, there are several great "break-sample-release" moments in the piece, during which someone says, "Now that's progress!" Even if Jack Wax's track wasn't great (which it is), "Progress" would make this an unmissable release.

As with Road to Praha, though, I'm inclined to spin "Progress" significantly faster than default.

Regardless, get this record or be sad. Plus, let's commend Flatlife for the awesome marbled vinyls. I always say it's about the music on the record, not the color of the vinyl, and I stand by that; but still, it's cool when a label puts out colored records with every release! Thank you, Flatlife! Keep the acid techno coming!
