Who's Afraid was what drew me to this release, and the subsequent remixes had this one bouncing around my head for ages, but as time wears on it's the cheesy Whistler that is getting more play and laughs out of me. Great teshno with a sense of humour.. buy it.

This is Claude VonStroke simply doing what he's good at. I should be ashamed of myself picking up this record early 2007, which is late...

'The Whistler' simply puts a smile on my face, while 'Who's Afraid Of Detroit' is a serious filler for sure.
Both tracks have a recognizable theme that made it such a strong release.
Both Claude and Dirtybird definitely have a winner with this. Wicked, wicked!

This record is an epitome of the tech-house sound of 2006, from Ibiza to the most underground connoisseur floors : it includes some quirky minimalism (reminiscent of early Herbert or DBX), a touch of special jackin electro effects, a funky groove and a good dose of fun.
Both sides are massive hits : 'The Whistler' is a minimal mind driller in the vein of Roman Flugel's 'Geht's Noch', early Josh Wink hits or M. Oizo ; whilst 'Who's Afraid Of Detroit?' is a moodier yet ultra groovy minimal melodic number ideal for later hours in the night.
Brilliant record, an essential purchase to capture the spirit of 2006.
