Almost 30 years following his legendary recordings with Plume Latraverse (La Sainte Trinité ), and the release of the now high-coveted “Trinterre” LP in 1971, Pierre “Docteur” Landry was back in school and he completed a Master's Degree in creative writing, a degree whose “creative” component was the production of a collection of songs. These are the songs that can be found today on this, his first and only solo album, “La Cuvée du Docteur” made with the complicity of a host of artists including André Vanderbiest (Les Colocs), Francis Grandmont (Abbittibbi), Bernard Buisson (Ambiances Magnétiques), Alain Lamontagne anf of course a little help from Plume himself. Now already long out-of-print, the rare CD is a solid return to his roots with Plume, oscillating between pop, bossa, reggae and rock and the trademark biting lyrics and puns.
