Lovely assemblage of mellow and ambient techno sounds. Particular appreciation for 'Aqua 4', 'Aqua 5' and 'Aqua 8' - this is where I feel the qualities that people love about these artists and the Aquaplano label shine through. For someone who enjoys the sounds of Aphex Twin's 'Selected Ambient Works 85-92' this compilation could well be a good progression for someone looking for tracks taking on the same, exploratory headspace. Beautiful release - heartily recommended.
