There is no way on God's green earth that this came out in 1985. I don't know for sure what year it did come out but my guess from the sound of it would be 1987 or 1988. At the very, very earliest it could be 1986, though I seriously doubt it. It would be good if someone could come up with a definitive answer, backed up with some proof. I just know that if someone had hooked up a sample of Chicken Yellow like this in 1985, there would have been a lot more noise about how far ahead of its time this joint was and Marley wouldn't have got all the props for the beat on The Bridge!

That's exactly what I have been thinking since I have heard this track first. This seems to use a sampler! Most likely '87 or even later... Check out how the other early Cheryl Records releases tell us the adress, this does not.
