I have to agree with Lee, this really is an excellent Christmas album which showcases the man's talent. Each and every track is given the Cavaliere jazzy, soulful treatment producing an album of Christmas standards (plus three very good self-penned songs) that stand out as distinctly original interpretations that you rarely find on American Christmas albums. If you love Cavaliere but hate Christmas albums this will confirm your love for the man and convince you that not all Christmas albums are disposable pap!

This is a very strong set from the Rascles' vocalist. While there are no songwriter credits, this limited-edition from the musician's website comes with the artist's bright signature, in bright gold ink on my copy. "White Christmas" has an upbeat soulful treatment. "Christmas Is Coming Soon" is unfamiliar to me, possibly an original, with a swaying midtempo beat is very effective, "Christmas in your arms is peace on earth to me." The order of the songs on the disc is different than what is listed on the cover, which can be confusing. "The Bells of St. Mary's" is the third track and is a great rocking tune, "The love bells shall ring out for you and me." "Christmas in Your Arms" is a slow swaying romantic Christmas ballad, "I want to light a fire for you're my heart's desire, then as the embers glow, we'll watch the falling snow." The fifth track is listed as "Feliz Navidad" but is the bouncy "Christmas in New Orleans," "Spanish moss & sugar pines, magnolia blossoms on my mind; Going down to those low lands; Seasons greeting in my hand; Feel the magic of her love, we're gonna fit like hand & glove." "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is the 9th track on the CD with "Feliz Navidad" being the 10th track. "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," "Run, Run Rudolph" & "Please Come Home for Christmas" are the familiar tunes done with Cavaliere's soulful vocals. There are no weak tracks on this strong set, well worth seeking out.
