This is a joyous record I'm very glad to own, even tho it cost me an arm and a leg for one of those MINT unplayed copies.Matty had a SSR record in his collection and the Cat always stuck in my brain.Go on, blow that trumpet son!!

Suspension Of Disbelief is an unstoppable juggernaut of a tune which makes me feel 10 feet tall whenever I hear it. No more to say than that, really!

There's a great set by Mickey Finn @ Quest in 1993 when he drops Suspension of Disbelief then totally throws your brain out by abruptly halting it an dropping a totally polar tune which I can hear in my head, but just can't think of the name (Ray Keith tune maybe? ... anyway, great stuff!
Thomeena
Ray Keith played "Mystery" @ Quest, London's Finest 1993 as well :)

Awesome record, glad to have picked up a mint copy years ago!

Mystery is just one of them tunes. It comes, it sees, it destroys. Big Tune !! Samples are taken from the Flatliners film from the 90's. One of my all time favs .. Proper Amen business.

Yup! I remember passing by the TV when some folk were watching Flatliners and stopping in my tracks and picking my jaw up off the floor. So proud to also have picked up a copy of this back when it came out in a little record store in Swindon (home of the old Rollermania), as but a 15-16 year old. Quality.

Just listening to Mystery again after such a long time, the breakdown melody reminds me of http://www.discogs.com/Genlog-Mockmoon-Remix/release/76334, also released in 93. Massive tune. It one of the top 10 best 93 tunes of the Sydney Rave scene. Don't get me wrong, I'm a jungliest to the end (20+ years), just say'n.

In my personal opinion, Nookie's 2 finest tunes. I wish this style of music had stuck around in this form for longer... It was just getting interesting.

This is one of those records that i will never forget buying, i was lucky enough to be in the record shop (Record Bassment, Reading, UK), when this arrived. i was busy grabbing rave flyers when someone stuck this tune on the turntable. The guys in that shop were never afraid to keep the volume level up, and when this tune kicked in everyones lungs rattled! Me and my mate snapped up a copy immediately, and spent pretty much the whole weekend listening to it on full volume, those were the days! Never understood why i didn't hear this tune on a single mixtape or pirate radio set, for its day it really stood out as a banging track, and even today it's stood the test of time better than most. I still have my copy, its not in the best condition but then it's had a rough life! If you were into your darkness or early drum n bass when this came out, you'd be forgiven for not owning this, but do yourself a favour and buy it now, it's a classic.

If you meant 'Suspension Of Disbelief' it's the first track on this Top Buzz set :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyRle4faQsI

Phil is record basement...phil is record basement...as Patrick said. Basement was the place for the darkness. Brought it lost it then payed over the odds on discogs..o'welll.

Mystery is always a tune that stuck out to me. Haunting but beautiful strings play as the track just builds up with a hectic amen bubbling away. Great bassline, lovely twinkling little keys hit halfway through. One of Nookie's best tunes as far as im concerned. The tune is ethereal, deep and definitely has some thing other worldly about it. The A side is a darker affair, quite similar, but for me it has difficulty surpassing the generally excellence of ‘Mystery’ Classic 1993 business.

11 years later, and I love both tunes equally. Probably my favourite Nookie record. Brilliant.

"Mystery" is quite a beautiful yet dark amen based 'ardkore track. It always felt very spooky and even religious to me due to the chorus in the background. More recently I discovered the entire chorus melody was ripped directly from the "Flatliners" movie which was released in 1990.

Yep! I remember passing a TV on which people were watching Flatliners and hearing the sample. I couldn't believe my ears! Anyway, so proud to have picked this up when it was released. Bought in a record shop in Swindon where the old Rollermania used to be. They were decent folk in there. Me as a sweaty spotty 15-16 year old just going through all their vinyl on the turntables behind the counter. Them was the days! Brilliant.

An awesome and underrated EP. 'Suspension of Disbelief' is an absolute belter, and really lives up to the 'Symphony Sounds' label name - incorportating elements of classical soundtrack over amen beats. This track refuses to relent, adding layer upon layer of sound to form a terrifying cacophony. Far more accomplished than Pennywise. And on the flip you have 'Mystery' - another wicked atmospheric track.
