Comments to album Germs - (GI)
Scoreboard Bleeding
This is a fairly solid effort, still gotta wonder how would it sound if it was distributed in 2 discs perhaps at 45 rpms and expanding the thread width, giving them enough room to breath, i feel the drum cymbals could benefit from that. Not sure if all of the tracks that sometimes end abruptly are supposed to be like that, if not it's a weird choice but i guess i could expect this to happen with punk records, i was only familiar with the Lexicon Devil track and that one sounds extremely stellar so i don't doubt the rest of the record is also great comparing individual tracks to other editions of the album.

Both of my copies of this record have sudden endings on several songs.. it seems to be normal.

Like MEllODrOnE, my copy does not suffer from the typical Rainbo pressing issues that have become so well-documented. This is a heavy slab of wax that goes beyond your standard weight. The packaging is fine and gets the job done. Pretty hard to mess up a simple design. It remains as iconic as ever. It comes with a double sided lyric sheet. I'd rather have had a higher quality inner sleeve than the paper sleeve it comes with, but that's just nitpicking. Sounds terrific to my ears. Get it before it's gone.

Agreed that this reissue sounds really good. Nice punchy drums, clear and present vocals and exceptional clarity that really lets you hear all the music. A nice polished sound that is full without being compressed or distorted. I believe this uses the same plates as the 2005 rhino reissue. Also pressed at Rainbo but thankfully this pressing (at least my copy) doesn't suffer from any warpage or unwanted surface noise (plays dead quiet without any pops or clicks...a pleasant surprise). Record Store Crawl Edition - Limited to 2,000 copies.

Sounds great! Really like the transparent blue. Includes lyric sheet insert. Worth picking up!
