This a great Maxi from Tom Hirschberg and Gilette Wilson, which charted in 1996 as rerelease in many European countries. Germany top 20 even at first release in 1991. Gil is great singer, Tom Hirschberg a sound wizard. Like his stuff.

I love Coming From The Heart! Great voice, great sound. The clubmix is still played by Dj`s today sometime. Tom Hirschberg is one of the most underrated music producers + composers in elecrtonic music in Germany. His last remixes (own stuff, Groove Armada etc. are best dance music. Heard it shortly in Manchester and asked the DJ. Told me that it was Liquid Sky + Groove Armada. Last one under is alter ego Ziggy von Sandyzell. Don`t see it here. No release on German market -poor?!

This is a nice song, nice female singer and a very good German producer Thomas "Tom" Hirschberg, known as well for the "Cozmo Vitelli" Techno tracks, the "Liquid Sky" tracks as "Straight up in the sky" (you know that Nasa sound?), "Hello to your Soul"" and "Housenation" ( Direct Effect Rec SPV) from the later 90ies and early 21 century - all as imported records to buy in USA record stores, where club hits in the US techno "understanding" communities of NYC, Friso, Chicago and Miami (forget the rest of the states). As these tracks had the at that time fashionable 150bpm he made remixes from most of the tracks in the last years rating the bpm to 125-130 bpm, new cuts and remastered to a more groovy sound. Very good made and would be played a lot in the well known clubs in Berlin, Amsterdam etc.
Coming back to "Coming From the Heard", sung by New York black female singer Gilette Wison I still like it very much. The mixes are very different comparng to the "Love the life" mix was and still be played often by German, Dutch and other European radio stations and internet. The 2 mixes with the Snap touch are very well regarding to the sampled guitars and the groove. a short mix and a long one for dance floor there is the Club mix which has not so much to do with the other versions it`s made groovy as well and if you know the original song you check ah, it`s that tune. It was played in every club around nothern Europe mostly in Germany, but to my suprise I heard it in the Lime Wire Club in New York too. The song beside the follow up "Walking on sunshine" (not that one from this English band: I forgot the name) "Coming from the Heard" was high in the German charts and dance charts under the first 20ies for a lot of weeks as well as in some other countries it is still a good piece of intelligent made piece of music on the edge of commercial and club culture. The Milky-E-Way was Tom Hirschberg on it`s own doing every part of production by him self as he had mad former records like the "LeSOTO" project "Crack in the Mirror" (SPV or EMI). This record shows the composing talent of Tom Hirschberg and the Synth pop band "Softparade". I have a lot records and Cd`s from producer Tom Hirschberg. I read shortly in a dance magazine he is making music for TV, Films etc. and now working on an album under the name "Tell Cinncinaty" which I read will be a fusion between techno, songs, different singers and instrumentel tracks, maybe similar a bit to "Groove Armada", for which he made remixes some time under the the name "Ziggy von Sandyzell", as well as for "Biosphere" and for DOP (english Tech House project) and some more. Listen to "Coming from the Heard". It`s fine and somehow timeless and immortible. Look forward to releases from Tom Hirschberg and listen to the remixes from "Liquid Sky". you would not imagine he`s a guy from Hanover, from where the Skorpions are - urrg! As far as I read anywhere he changed to Berlin a while ago. Enjoy! MilkyFred
