We have here a marginal sound object, which originated from utilising our recording studio as a laboratory, making use of highly specialised and experimental processes.

This sound library is the result of manipulations, collages, sound hijackings guided by our will to have a rich, an original and a quality tone palette. All these sounds are entirely realised by ourselves, there are no samples, no expander presets, no loops, no pre-existent sound bank.

We used genuine instruments and old analogue processes, which allowed us to remain free to make them evolve in real time, leading us to a large random part and eventual sound accidents.

The fact that the music industry is still caught up in brooding over old concepts and past glories of mythic analogue machines, virtualising them and proposing them as a sound base, is a down levelling for us.

In the multitude of scratch music records, there are few that are artistically relevant and original. The sound material is too often insipid, badly orchestrated and weakly adventurous.

The idea of dialogue and random is to make a break from this tradition of redundant sounds, upside down compiled a thousand time.

Starting from the principle that the turntable is an instrument, TGOS conceived this record keeping the musical constraint in mind.

This sound library is given to the modern musician, allowing him to create new soundscapes.

Our record may well appear technically complex but will above all serve as a tool for the demanding musician that desires to push back the barriers imposed by the purists with their blinkers and the current popular styles. We hope that avoiding the trend to simply emulate and regurgitate the artists of the moment, will help you find your own way.

Once all these sounds will be defined and isolated, they will have to be assembled and relations will have to be elaborated between them. It is here the challenge lies : the transformation from sound to music.
