This is a really weird cover. But dope track though.

I didn't properly appreciate this at the time of release — maybe because Yo! MTV Raps played it so often, it felt like the video was suffocatingly impossible to avoid. Now, though, this song is genius...a great balance of groups, styles, men and women equally represented, tackling positive topics. Sweet beats, cool sounds, fantastic production. Nice shifts and changes as it goes to support the different voices over top of it. Honestly, in many ways, the politics and social commentary of this track are even more powerful in 2018 than they were in 1991, and I think that really says something about the insight and articulate speaking here. Powerful music.
