Selecta - if this is your first encounter with KG, then you NEED to go download/buy/both Needs Continuum immediately. Her work on EPs pushes the tempo/bpm a bit, but her LP really is where she shines in my eyes. She is really something else. Takes house/techno and pushes it soooooooo far out there that it becomes very much its own thing.If you dig this, also check out Huerco S., Holly Herndon, Kassem Mosse (and also most of the Workshop label) and also Thug Entrancer. What a record. My first encounter with her work, I don't know if she would call this techno, and despite being about to mix it with a bunch of techno I don't know if I can. The sounds are incredible, the snares so crunchy and those synths with all the haunting timbres of a church organ and methodical, processional movement. This really stands apart.Gorgeous artwork as well!
