This is a much better album than I ever realized. Yes, it’s from the often regarded best show from ‘75 on May 24th at Earls Court, but the track list made me wary of picking it up initially. It cuts in at No Quarter then the middle (acoustic) section of the show with Tangerine, That’s The Way and my favorite Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, and then Trampled and Dazed. No Stairway, Song Remains the Same, or any of the beginning/end of the show. “How good can this be?” I asked myself. Well, upon listening to this I realized it can be very very good. Solid soundboard source of a few of the most spectacular sections of one of their greatest concerts. The acoustic section contains a lot of Plant’s banter which is a bonus. It also has a fantastic No Quarter and the second to last Dazed and Confused, which was a great version and much better than they performed on the final night of the tour. I could have used another disc containing the other great songs, but this is a really enjoyable listen which highlights why this show gets so many accolades. I would definitely recommend it.
