Little Richard - King Of Rock And Roll FLAC

Fans waited over a year for Richards second Reprise album, with great anticipation over an album at least as great as the first , The Rill Thing , a real return to the roots , earthy , lowdown mix of the old and the new. Mysteriously the follow up veered a lot more towards pop/bubble gum , and had no acoustic piano, and a very thin rhythm section, mixed way back ; a fem chorus is to the fore throughout the album . So a great chance to knock some classics from Hank Williams , credence , and Motown , out of the park, stop at second or third base . What keeps the game going is Richards powerful voice , loud and proud , esp on a new song Green Power ( a should have been top 40) and a terrific Born on the Bayou , w a heartfelt spoken intro. Both are well mixed . The title tune is a blast from the past , but it's a new song , based upon the kind of jump blues he used to ride to fame . If they mixed back the chorus and overdubbed piano ...even better . But no. A real bonehead decision to make it lp only. A station in New York played it like a single.
