M-Project - Cherry FLAC

True Happy Hardcore lived a bit longer in the East thanks to belter records like this one from the M-Project stable. Cut out the vocal sample “Sakuranbo” and it might be indistinguishable from many Western European productions. Pick your poison, the more aggressive A-side with some pseudo-hoovering or the softer tip which dubs itself the Buzzmasta mix by the late Kawashima Ryo. Personally, I take the Buzzmasta mix with the spliced vocals and two-faced climax. Both versions make prominent appearances on the once-great "Bastard Pop Terrorists" serial for those desiring CD-quality.

Cherry is a positive track for good feelings and tripnotized parties. It’s every bit clichéd as one could expect from a happycore tune with strained, juvenile-like vocals but that’s the ball game of rave and M-Project hits a triple at least with this one. The Asians had their time to show off the UK scene their potential in hard dance and this is proof they did that and in a big way.

A great record. Wonderfully cheesy and upbeat. Like the previous reviewer said, you can't help but smile when you hear it. But those who have it know what they have and wont part with. It's truly a rare gem. I don't think I've ever seen a copy for sale.

This tune is pure cheeky cheeze,, i supose you got to like ya cheezy stuff to say that you like it. when the vocals come in, ya just cant help but smile, very bounce n happy, i wish they were still doing this label,, ya can't understand what the hell the lyrics are about, cuz its obviously in japan,, but who cares, i love it and always will.. if ya feeling pissed off, bang this tune on ya deck...
