On the download page the composer gave the inspiration for how he created this piece of music:
"There they are on a huge, rocky canyonized [sic] battlefield under a dramatic evening sky. A tear rolls down his [cheek] as she lays next to him slipping away. With this [piece] I've tried to imagine the feeling of losing the only person in your life you've ever genuinely loved (as a partner), and tried to express that using long atmospheres and textures."
