O.S.P. - Oooh Shit FLAC

Some techno enthusiasts might think of this release as sounding a bit too dated and unsophisticated, particularly for today's tastes. But for late 1991 this was pushing the boundaries right up there. It was a good two years ahead of its time. Could be dropped in a set in 1993 pushing into the early part of 1994 without anyone batting an eye, before the music became increasingly rigid (frigid) and the scene started taking itself too seriously. Cue IDM, minimal, tech house, progressive etc. This comes under the no holds barred, creative, quite extreme, wild, dark and energetic techno camp. Suited more within a free party environment than some trendy basement club in central London where the hipsters holding their notepads hang out. A much more relaxed period in time when techno music was much less restrictive and formulaic than it has become since then.
