Producing from the large economic and industrial city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, Russian native, Stacie Flur, was a 2012 newcomer to both the Apollo and Particles imprints, featuring simultaneously on both labels' summer compilation series. Her "Unterwasser" track was a notable highlight of the "Summer Particles 2012" compilation with its deep resonating bass line and melodic percussion, while the deeper techno vibes of "Motion Out of Time" and its wonderfully meandering acid filtering, provided a further standout moment for the Skylab series.
In recognition of this impressive debut, Apollo is delighted to provide a full release of "Motion Out of Time" with three remixes from the Netherlands, Hungary and France.
At the age of 17, Dutch deep house and minimal exponent, Mozaiek, "fell in love" with dance music after frequenting various dance parties which later inspired him to create his own tracks. Fast-forward to 2012 and a busy year for Mozaiek with his work signed to the likes of Truth Underground and Mood You Records. Reworking "Motion Out of Time", Mozaiek has maintained the structure of Stacie Flur's original while adding different layers of rhythm dominated by a ticking hi-hat pattern that adds a further dimension.
Laszlo Adorjan, better known by his production name Universal Language, has been 'musically obsessed' from an early age. Influenced by the electronic pioneers of Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, Laszlo's journey to well-respected deep house and techno producer has seen him release his music on Etoka, Abandon and Jaksa Pavicevic's A Must Have imprint. Marking a unique approach to the production process, Laszlo's technique is to record everything "in one take while everything is triggered on the fly". His Universal Language remix of "Motion Out of Time" is thus an impressive collage of lo-fi clicks and sizzle, knocking percussive elements and melodic riff against a back drop of Stacie's rhythmic stabs.
From Peillonnex in the French Alps, Stephane Klepper moniker has been responsible for approaching 150 Beatport track credits under his Eskadet moniker. As a resident artist on the Lemongrass imprint, including the full-length album "Solitudes" in 2010, Eskadet has a combination of deep house and chill-out releases under his belt, gracing the likes of Silk Sofa, Hashi Music and Etoka, stretching back to 2008. His remix of "Motion Out of Time" has a superb airy and spacious feel about it. Awash with sustained pads and melodic piano refrains, reverb drenched vocal textures play alongside crisp delayed percussion to create a shimmering, soothing haven.
Three high-class remixes added to an impressive original have ensured that there is plenty of forward momentum in Stacie Flur's "Motion Out of Time".
