Their first album was a killer piece of garage psych, second album leaned more towards a softer, more refined approach, and by the time you get to this LP it gets really soft really quick. This one and their subsequent release "Attacking a Straw Man" are attempts to sell a lot of records by going as middle-of-the-road as they could within rock n' roll. Get their first 2, leave this one alone.

Roram

Depends what you're into. I consider this their most mature release. A grown-up, sophisticated collection of pop-rock and, sometimes, emotional numbers that leave their past garage sound and delve into something really alluring. I don't think your assessment is fair, but it really does depend on taste.

Not very psychedelic or garage-y. This is pop rock if it is rock at all.
