Damn ! Surprise !

"Hookey" track by Nardini is one of the "Best Ever Track I have Ever Listened To" among his Southern Label output from The Sixties years: i can name too another Southern published track "Automotive" and one Sam Fox publishing track called "Riding the Stars" !

The Lp here instead shows some high surprises: with "Flutes Foursome" having a laid back drum machine for the short quadrupled flutes joke.
Here the main artist "The Scottmen" is just a pseudonim name to undercover many different takes from Southern recording artists.
Then i guess here is there one error about track orders, infact "Brown Beans" by Roger surely is being first song at beginning of vinyl and "Auto -Rock" by Mawer on fourth place, that's because my special ear detect the funny fast use of effected marimba with istrumentation clearly coming by one same Roger registration session: infact "Brown Beans" with his repetitive fast heavy background enhanced by a doubling sensitive marimba effect and a melody guitar could have fit well into "100% Electronic" IM label lp.
"Young Idea" by Nardini shows one track that feels from the old days of sixties with his big band beat but a precious attentive construction; "Long Hot Summer" is a fast'n'steady jazz beat track with strong percussive drums doubled by drum machine and up front fuzz distorted guitar solo verse.
"Sad Swallow" is a wonderful soothing & realxing track with a cadenza triangle high pitched sound with a Morricone feeling plus a Nardini touch while "Marchesa" belongs to the same Roger session wich appear on Chappell mood Vol.20 Lp with flutes and harpsichord, while on this record the authors name are evidently inversed and i dont' know about why they joked a lot with their referencing names on tracks!

At the end remains always this impressive "Hookey" track : a little lightweight gem with a redundant clean guitar sweep and a jocking trumpet verse and then getting into a fully abstract be boppin 'chorus that destabilizes your hearing sense and then shot you down again with previous moving verse, slightly coming at a full ending climax with a vicious electric organ solo with this incredible sound where is very enjoyable the tickling sound made by releasing arpeggiato notes with fingers; then a suspenced silence wich ends with a loud "tutti" .

Southern Library Of Recorded Music still can offer some very precious gems wich deserves a recognization !
