Comments to album The Smiths - How Soon Is Now?
Pruster
I bought this triple LP (together with Half A Person) from a reputable shop in the UK in 1988. I was told at the time that it was a Portuguese import. In the following weeks it was reported in the music press that both releases were withdrawn from sale due to the poor quality of the pressings so I can only image that they were actually official releases. It is true that the vinyl was quite thin (as most releases were back in the day) though these did appear to be of lower quality than most. The outer covers became unstuck over time and the inner covers were made of thin see through plastic bag type so it was cheap product. I only played them once to copy to mp3 as I bought them as an investment, so I cannot comment either way other than to say they played ok. I sold them in around 2011.
