Notes
Screech! was considered to be the peak of creative excellence for TMA-1 as far as it was possible for the band to be both creative and excellent in the same breath. The cassette was different from previous releases in two areas: it was shorter, a 45 minute cassette instead of 60 minutes which resulted in a more complete, structured album, probably the first in the entire kRkRkRk catalog at that point to be considered as an actual album - a work to be listened to in one sitting. The second difference was in the overall style. Screech! is a much darker recording, both sonically and thematically. The humour is still there, but there is a brooding malevolence lurking in every nook waiting to pounce. John Wayne is definitely dead and the corpse is starting to smell.
