Notes

The songs found in this set were originally recorded on wax cylinders by E. Harold Davies while undertaking various anthropological field work beginning in 1927. Due to the perishable nature of the wax cylinders, the Board of Anthropological Research transferred these to disc in 1930, with copies sold via the University of Adelaide for 30sd (122 au dollars today) per set of three. A contemporaneous review of the set claimed them to be "novel and of surprising interest to those who are students either of ethnology or musical evolution".
