Welcome to CD five of the Dance Years and 1992. From a DJ's point of view, 1992 was like being a kid in a sweet shop. There were so many great records to choose from.

Kiss was going from strength to strength. I was DJing at House of Windsor in Windsor and had a residency which was a packed rave event at Jazz in London Road, Purley on Friday nights which was sadly stopped by one of the biggest ever polic raids at the time by the Metropolitan Police who turned up in coach loads of riot gear to break up the party!

Things were starting to get tough for promoters as the authorities really clamped down. A sense of our optimism was taking a bit of a battering but the tunes were great and some amazing parties were had. Luckily, compared to today, we still had a lot more freedom and we were having such a good time I can't really remember much about it now.

Nice mix & quality mastering .. BUT its so many of the 'same classic tracks' licenced again & again on so many other compilations with a smattering of the odd varied House/Underground Club tune that Dave mightve played at the time...perhaps he was only given so many tracks per year / release to actually personally select, the rest pushed by the label etc?
