Late entry in the Psychedelic Unknown series with less of an accent on garage/psych punk and more late '60s psychedelia (and consequently not quite so interersting imo).
This volume is well worth picking up for the Things To Come track which is a brilliant slice of straight-ahead psychedelia. No manly vocals or late-60s heavy histrionics... just a kind of slightly sinister whispered vocal and understated melody that just grows.
This track is not on the Things To Come compilation on Sundazed (not even the CD version with the extra tracks) but originally on a 7" single from around 1968 on Warner Brothers. This is the direction that psychedelia should've gone in... not the pre-heavy metal, sludge blues style that came in after 68/69.
