I see people have rated this lp very low however i have to give the album a 4/5. Cuts like Bryon Lester "Ain't It Funky", Kool Rock Steady "I'll Make You Dance" & M & M "Get Off Your Butt" are real proper acidhiphouse trax that when kranked upto +8 on the technics will pump any dancefloor . The Byron Lester track is only available from this LP (and the U.S version) as it was never released as a single which is a shame as it would have been nice to have a version you can play in a club.

After reading Steady-j`s reply i have adjusted my rating to 4/5 as like steady says the LP is patchy and therefore cant warrent a 5/5.

I take the point in acidica's review - those 3 tracks are pretty kickin, if not the best hip-house tunes in the world ever. But the Chi-Boyz' "Bass" is pretty disappointing and the rest of the hip-hop tempo offerings are for the most part pretty dismal (Chilly T's title track being an acid-tinged exception), making the overall album in my view "patchy" which rates a 2/5 according to my own interpretation of scale. But definitely worth keeping on the strength of those tracks.
