This compilation from the un-hyped Hype! would be quite an odd one from any angle you look at it. First of all it’s quite hard to come by, whereas all other double CDs are widely available selling even for cents if you know where to buy from. It took me some time to track a copy at the price I wanted; usually I won’t pay more than €5 including delivery for Techno-rave CDs from 1991-2. All previous compilations had both ‘friendly rave’ and underground tracks but Time Tunnel has only the dark side. Breakbeats, which weren’t common either on the previous volumes are all gone (no breakbeats, no lycra?) There are a lot of unique tracks by famous artists collaborating (Andreas Bolz, Cem Oral, Ingmar Koch, Jörg Burger, Wolfgang Voigt). Cover has no credits (previous compilations all had them except for Hardbeat House) and GEMA was the source of the identity of the unique collaborations.

To sum it up, except for label completion this should only be bought unless found at shallow prices. There are hidden gems and so and so tracks also. It’s my least favourite CD from Hype!, guess because there is no cheese on this and I used to like well made cheese from this era ;)
