Great cuts based on the legendary 83 Afrika Bambaataa ' Death Mix' that earned the title of ' Master of Records'. His classic set is worth checking if you can find it. Sit back and listen to the real super disco breaks. Brilliant comp for any collector and DJ and pressing is top notch vs those released on the infamous Paul Wilney label.

The bonus loops are:

A4 Yellow Magic Orchestra - Computer Games
B4 Jackson 5 - It's Great To Be Here

This is a great compilation based on rare tracks used in Afrika Bambaataa's Death Mix which originally came out on one of those atrocious Paul Winley pressings... These tracks are destined to remain rare as whoever compiled this decided to change titles and artists to make them harder to find! The tracks in question are:

Samantha King is Queen Samantha and the title is "Take a Chance" released on TK Disco and a tough find on 12"

Viriginia Ayers is the vocalist for Chocolate Jam Co's "Chocolate Jam" released on Epic - should not be too tough to turn up

Rock City Band - Funk It Up - no idea on this one!?!

"Get Up and Dance" was recorded by Vernon Burch under the title "Get Up" but these days known as the tune that Deee-Lite's "Groove is in the Heart" is based on. Album turns up reasonably cheap but the promo only US 12" is a bitch to find, where "Get Up" is the flip to "Sammy Jo-Anne", but there is also a four track UK Casablanca 12" with Cameo, 7th Wonder and another artist as well as this tune which is a little easier to find.

The Douglas Brown tune is actually by Archie Bell and the Drells for which DB was the co-producer of the Strategy album from which this tune was taken, to give it the full title "I Can't Get Enough of Your Love".

The Steve Ferrone track is "I Just Wanna Do My Thing" is by Edwin Starr and moderately easy to turn up... Steve Ferrone was supposedly the Average White Band's drummer but the tune is way too funky to be the work of the AWB and I'm sure this is a re-edit of the regular version as it just seems much tougher here!
